YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud-based IT architectures in alignment with the company's transition to a microservices/event-driven model.
Collaborate with Architecture, Development, and Product Management teams to outline technology and architecture roadmaps, steering the evolution towards a cloud-native SaaS solution.
Serve as the 'glue' between business and technology teams, defining requirements and ensuring alignment with overarching architecture goals and principles within an Agile framework.
Mentor fellow fadatians in technology and architecture principles adoption, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Remain at the forefront of technological evolution, guiding software architects, development teams, and professional services teams in adopting new technologies while upholding quality standards expected in an insurance industry SaaS solution.
Engage with stakeholders ranging from C-Level executives to development, architecture, and business teams, both internally and externally with clients, demonstrating excellent communication skills and adaptability to diverse audiences.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Core skills:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
Proven experience in system design, architecture, and development.
Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and delivering complex architecture.
Expertise in cloud technologies and programming languages (Java, JavaScript & PL/SQL preferred).
In-depth knowledge of architectural principles and design patterns.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire technical teams.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to make decisions considering both technical and business implications.
Availability to travel.

Preferred skills:

Experience in insurance business and/or insurance tools.

We seek a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our Oracle database and Oracle WebLogic, ensuring optimal performance, data integrity, and security. Maintain and optimize our SQL / PL/SQL processes. Ensure DB availability. Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls. Actively seek to optimize and simplify Oracle Database architecture. Proactive monitoring. Execution of data migration jobs and scripts as required. Oracle Database Capacity Management. Support and collaborate with product developers. Create a reliable backup strategy. Ensure database backups are appropriately executed, and periodic restorations are exercised to ensure backup quality. Determine and document DB policies, procedures, and standards. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE: Ideally, Oracle Certified DB Professional (OCP) with over five (5) years' experience.
