DESCRIPCIÓN Our Amazon Business Analytics (ABA) is growing and we're looking for an experienced Software Development Manager (SDM) to manage a talented tech team in charge of the evolution of our Analytics and Insights feature set, including Generative AI capabilities, the discovery of new initiatives and the expansion of our solutions to international marketplaces. We are expanding our capabilities to include AI-powered spend pattern analysis, natural language interfaces for procurement insights, intelligent recommendations for cost optimization, and predictive analytics for budget forecasting. We help customers discover purchasing insights to help them meet their procurement goals through both traditional analytics and innovative AI-driven solutions. Great candidates for this position possess a sound understanding of computer science and a passion to make a profound impact for our business customers. You will have the opportunity to apply this passion by leveraging your software development management skills leading medium to large projects involving distributed systems, web development, front-end/back-end design, and GenAI integration. You will collaborate with diverse business and technical partners, including Data Scientists, to shape our technology and drive AI adoption. You will be the voice of our customers, driving technological innovation to create an unparalleled business procurement experience powered by both traditional and AI-enhanced analytics. The role is based in Madrid and might require some international travel. Key job responsibilities Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations. Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services. Experience managing engineers. Experience partnering with product and program management teams. Experience in engineering. REQUISITOS DESEADOS Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy. Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers. Experience building and deploying applications that integrate Generative AI capabilities, working collaboratively with Data Scientists to implement AI-powered features and functionalities. Demonstrated ability to partner with Data Scientists to successfully translate AI/ML solutions into production-ready applications, including implementation of model serving infrastructure and API development.
