We are looking for a QA Test Automation Engineer, working close to one of our main clients in banking sector. A hands-on QA engineer whose primary objective is to review, assess, define, and execute the QA roadmap to improve unit, integration and functional test coverage for Java/React and Python based applications. Close collaboration with Software Engineers and Business Analysts to understand what should be tested and how. Independent execution of the testing activities to ensure timely detection and resolution of quality issues and increased transparency over the quality level of the development deliverables. Direct reporting to the Software Development Lead. Main tasks and accountabilities will be: Testing backend services, frontend screens and data integrations. Functional testing. Manual and automated Unit testing. Automated/integrated in the CICD pipelines. Boundary testing. Performance and stress testing. Regression testing. What UST expects from you? 4+ years of experience in QA domain. Documentation XRAY [optional] JIRA + Gitlab Integration [must]. Practical experience in the following QA activities and toolsets:Unit/integration tests: Frontend - Vitests, MWS for API mocking Backend - Junit, Mockito, Testcontainers, Lettuce, Jacoco Python. PyTest/unit test Functional: Selenium, Katalon, Cucumber E2E integration / Functional Playwright, PactFlow Security / Vulnerability / Code Quality OWASP, ZAST. Semgrep Stress/Load/Performance: JMeter, K6 Comfortable understanding/navigating through source code in: Java - including Spring Boot 2/3 JavaScript/TypeScript - including React frontend framework Python - including Pandas data ETL frameworks. Good english level (C1) you will be working with international teams. Nice to hace: Nice to have: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Math or similar domain. Experience in either T24 or Triple A is considered an advantage. Experience of selenium grid would be considered an asset. Work location Hybrid.
