Así pues, el profesor o profesora colaborador se ocupará de resolver dudas, proponer ejemplos y aclaraciones adicionales que faciliten la comprensión de la materia por parte del estudiante, dinamizar los debates y proponer la participación en los foros, corregir las pruebas de evaluación, dar retorno pedagógico (feedback) para facilitar el proceso de aprendizaje del estudiante, etc. El/la tutor/a acoge el nuevo estudiante, lo orienta académicamente en todos los aspectos relacionados con el programa formativo y la apoya en el desarrollo de habilidades para moverse con la máxima eficacia por el Campus Virtual. Asimismo, el / la tutor / a introduce al estudiante en el conjunto de herramientas y recursos que le proporciona el entorno virtual de aprendizaje de la UOC, para que pueda obtener, lo antes posible, el máximo rendimiento. También le ayuda a conocer la gama de oportunidades que la vida universitaria pone a su alcance. En definitiva, facilita la integración del estudiante a la comunidad universitaria de una manera personalizada. Además, el tutor realiza el seguimiento de la actividad académica del estudiante, le da orientaciones generales y le aconseja, de forma individualizada, sobre el progreso de sus estudios durante el proceso formativo vinculado a la universidad. También le resuelve sus dudas o consultas que el estudiante pueda formular. Criterios de selección: La valoración de cada candidatura se hace de forma integral y de acuerdo a los requisitos publicados en cada perfil específico, teniendo en cuenta tanto la titulación, experiencia profesional y/o docente y la formación continua de cada candidato/a, así como los conocimientos, habilidades, competencias e intereses necesarios para colaborar en la UOC. La colaboración con la UOC será en régimen de prestación de servicios profesionales.
